Morning Basketball

Ran hard all morning. We even played a little longer because it's spring break and some of us didn't have to get kids to school. I DID manage to stuff a 10 yr old. He was a good shot, what was a grown man supposed to do? #beastmode

7 Miles!

Good feeling run. Ran 7 miles at almost the same pace as I ran 6 the other day. It's all about that form. My bruised quad was not a negative factor. It actually reminded me to stay on a mid-foot strike throughout the run. Here's the link to the run

Morning Basketball!

My leg really hurt from where I got kneed in the quad but I got up anyway. Didn't has an much zig zag in the play today but that's OK. Maybe next time .

Morning Basketball

Got up at 5:40 a.m. to play some basketball. I was groggy for sure. Got kneed in the quad near the end of the hour. That kind of woke me up.

Mile.
25 pushups, 25 squats.
1/2 Mile.
25 pushups, 25 squats.
1/4 Mile.
25 pushups, 25 squats.
1/4 Mile.
25 pushups, 25 squats.
1/2 Mile.
Hydrate.
1/2 Mile Cool down.

Morning basketball and evening weights

Played an hour of basketball this morning at 6. Felt good running up and down the court. Actually hit some shots today. 

Evening workout:
100 pushups
100 squats
80 - 30lb curls
80 - 20lb shoulder flys
80 scissor abs

6 min. gluts workout
Added 10 burpees at the end for good measure.

5 Miles

Not too bad. It's not the 7:09 pace I ran in December but I'll get there. Feeling a little better each day. Did a little bit of hill work so hopefully I'll be feeling that later. Here's the run link.

Basketball

Played about an hour of basketball this morning. I felt great while I was playing. Took a few hours to get my energy back. I'm not sure if it's the sinus infection or not.

4 Miles

Bit it when I turned my ankle at the end of mile 3. Figured that was good motivation to make mile 4 my best. 

I have 8 weeks until my next 1/2 marathon and due to my recent bouts with cold/stomach bug/sinus infection I am way out of shape. This was however, a good run to get it started. 

Treadmill Running - 1 hour

So tough for me. I feel like I barely made it an hour. 8 minute miles basically. Not happy about it really at all. Makes me want to get out...
