Morning Basketball - Lifting - Soccer

What a shit show my shooting is. So frustrating. I was not productive at all, in any way. Not even looking forward to playing next Tuesday.

Later I went to the Rec Center and worked back and biceps during Rainn's swim lesson. It wasn't a long workout (45 minutes) but I was also saving some for the soccer game.

So I played my first real soccer game ever and it was really fun. It was a lot of running but Ultimate prepped me for that part of it. It was a good time running around and I was super sweaty. Got over 20,000 steps for the day.

Morning Basketball and then Rec Center

Hit a couple shots and put backs but other than that it was awful. I had bad passes, a couple missed layups, just a terrible morning.

Ended up going to the gym later. It was a great work out. Mostly chest, shoulder and triceps with core/ab work mixed in.

Two and a half hours of ultimate today. Started with three on there then ended up with five on five. I'm so sore...and so happy.

Morning Basketball

3 pt shot was on today so that was fun. I did fall at one point so my back hurts now but I'll move through it.
I can tell my legs are getting stronger and my vertical is a bit quicker as I'm easily out-rebounding some guys that usually get rebounds over me.

Wednesday Rec. Center

Rode my bike to the Rec Center (2 miles).
Worked back and biceps with core/abs alternated in.
Did push-ups to failure at the end of the workout.

Morning Basketball

Played in the Middle School gym today. My shot was horrendous but my close up game was pretty good. High school kid was there today and he was tough to chase around but it made for a good workout.
Also I wore my glasses today since my goggles really fog up in this humid weather. That was fine. Till it isn't and I get hit in the face and bleed my way off the court. 🤷

Basement sworkit

Started off with a really great Agility Ladder workout. Then went 45 minutes in the sworkit app. It's been awhile since I've done that. It was intense but I did find that my cardio efforts were able to be strong and consistent.

Rec center

Started with bench press, moved to an ab movement. Proceeded to alternate between chest, shoulder tricep stuff and ab and core stuff.

It wasn't long but effective for sure.

Frisbee Chase

During the boys' soccer camp I read for a while then put the cleats on, gulped down my pre-workout and threw the frisbee up into the wind to chase it. I did that for almost an hour. It was a great time.

Tuesday of Beast Mode

Woke up and played basketball. I didn't feel super great. Shot was terrible but I had some good drives and reverse layups.

So after tearing out and putting in a new shower door in our bathroom I took the boys to their soccer camp. After sitting and reading for a while, I ran around the soccer field about 12 times to equal 6 miles. I felt better running there than playing basketball earlier this morning.

Indoor/Outdoor

Had a fantastic workout today. Worked out from like 2:20 to 3:50. Started out in the gym at the Rec Center. Focused on back and biceps but also included some chest and core stuff as well. After about 40 minutes or so I headed over to the high school practice field and threw the frisbee for the rest of the time. The wind was just right. I had to throw it almost straight out to really get a good sprint in to catch it.

I can already feel the soreness settling in. I'm good with that.

Morning Basketball

Finally got to go play. Plenty of people. I had a put-back, some shots and layup that smacked of teenager Jared. (a slight resemblance).

Also did 100 push-ups later in the day.

5 Miles in the afternoon

Nice and cool today. Not a band wind but enough to keep a person cooled off. That last mile was a lot of work.

So tough for me. I feel like I barely made it an hour. 8 minute miles basically. Not happy about it really at all. Makes me want to get out...
