Random Stuff

130 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 curls with 30 lb dumbbells, 100 squats with a 30 lb dumbbell. After that I went out side and chased my frizbee for a while.

Tiny run

Ran around the disc golf course today. Probably wasn't too much more than a mile but it was decently hot out so I sweat plenty and it's been a while since I've run so I thought I might as well journal it.

Morning Basketball

Started out awful. There was mostly little kids and I thought it wasn't going to be fun but it ended up being really cool to watch these kids that are really going for it and will be able to run circles around me in not too many years. Made me want to go the high school basketball games when they're all that age. 😊

Chest and Shoulders

Had a great workout today. Shoulders weren't a problem. I really thought about my form and adjusted my weight to accommodate that. I added some pull-ups and ab work in there as well. Overall I felt like I worked hard and was healthy about it.

Back and Biceps

Decent workout today. My shoulder didn't hurt so that was a bonus. It wasn't a crazy workout at all but I felt good about my form.

Leg Day

Not a great morning but I'm still glad I went. Rode my bike to the Rec Center. Just wish I had more fire in the morning hours, but I have to workout at this time of the day instead of waiting till the afternoon.

Chest Workout

Went to workout in the afternoon about 2 pm. Got a text that I needed to get back to work for a meeting that I forgot about. Came back later to finish the workout and it was OK I guess. My shoulder was really hurting. So frustrating. I can only lift so much with a shoulder that isn't working correctly.

First morning back for the whole time after the surgery. Everything went well. Not a terrible time at all. My endurance has certainly suffered.

Waited till the mid-morning to work out and it was a good choice. Had a great workout except my shoulder was a little iffy. I hate that.

LEG DAY

Got up this morning. Warmed up on the treadmill for a few minutes. Worked the machines and then fired up the Sworkit app to do 20 minutes of lower body. A lot of cardio was mixed so I was super sweaty and honestly I sat a couple of them out. I'll get em next time.

Took the sworkit app outside and did about 20 minutes of work. It was pretty good. I'm weak that's for sure.

Chest and Shoulders

Was really careful about form, amount of weight and of course I did extra shoulder exercises that would help my rotator cuff area. I'm not sure if that's even what was wrong before but whatever I''m doing seems to be helping.

Morning Basketball

First time on the court since before my race. I played for about 30 minutes or so. I could feel I was at my limit of being safe so I sat down. I don't want to mess anything up. I think I beyond risk of major damage but I don't test it.

Back and Biceps

Well I had a vasectomy reversal surgery a few days after my 10K race so I've been out of the fitness game completely for a month. Finally got back into the gym today. Did back and biceps using some new tips that I saw online. Also I really worked my rotator cuff muscles so I don't mess those up as I start back in. 

Treadmill Running - 1 hour

So tough for me. I feel like I barely made it an hour. 8 minute miles basically. Not happy about it really at all. Makes me want to get out...
