5.3 Mile Run

Mid 30's out there with sunshine. I had Culver's for lunch so that was a poor choice..always is. I broke my finger the other day at Basketball so I have it buddy taped to my ring finger. I don't have mittens so I went gloveless. My right hand was fine but the swelling in my left, must have blocked some of the circulation because my other fingers were freezing.

Other than that and being about 8-10 lbs heavier than I'd like, it was a decent run. I meant to go five, an my route wasn't an up and back so I went 5.3 instead.

Morning Basketball

Got up to play today and it was ok. Jammed my finger really bad. I've never had to wrap my finger before but it's wrapped up now and it's pretty painful. I just hope that I can play guitar this coming Sunday for my gig.

4 Miles

After finishing the incredible book Born to Run, I decided enough was enough and went out to run. Went 4 miles and it felt pretty...ok. I'm excited to get back into a rhythm.

Leg Work Out

Fired up my Nike workout app and did a 23 minute workout with River. He did all of the exercises and I couldn't do all of them. My back was hurting from my shitty mattress and swinging a weight around only made it worse.

Racquetball

I worked really hard to get into the double digits. I was hitting the ground, jumping as high as I could. I had my best game ever and then... proceeded to feel sick the rest of the day. Being out of shape sucks.

Morning Basketball.

Haven't worked out in a really long time and it sure showed today. So brutal. You have to start somewhere though. 

Treadmill Running - 1 hour

So tough for me. I feel like I barely made it an hour. 8 minute miles basically. Not happy about it really at all. Makes me want to get out...
