Tabata workout and 100 pushups.

Got through the whole Tabata workout this time. Then did my 100 pushups. I wanted to get out and chase the frisbee for a bit but there wasn't enough time.

Back and Biceps

Had a good back and biceps workout with some ab work mixed in. If it didn't eat into my workout time so much I'd write down what I did w/ weight and reps. Maybe if I get a schedule ahead of time I'll do that. It might be helpful.

Morning Basketball plus 100 pushups

Bunch of guys there today. Had to sit a couple times. I was effective around the basket but other than that, not much happening for me. Good start to the day anyway.

Later in the day I did 100 pushups.

Morning Basketball and evening pushups etc...

Got up to play today and it was a good morning. Had some good shots and one ridiculous lob that happened to go in. Can't complain about that.

After the kids went to bed I did 100 pushups, some curls with my 30 lb weights and a few other exercises.

Pushups and a Tabata workout

Did my 100 pushup workout and then later in the day I did a Tabata workout I saw online. It's as follows:

A) 20 sec. Burpees
10 sec. Rest
20 sec jumping jack
10 sec. rest
4x through

B) 20 sec jump squats
10 sec rest
20 sec straight leg kicks
10 sec. Rest
4x through

C) 20 sec. Mountain climbers
10 sec. Rest
20 sec high knees
10 sec rest
4x through

D) 20 sec power jumps
10 sec. Rest
20 sec. Split lunge jumps
10 sec rest
4x through (only made it 3 times through this last one)

100 Pushups

I've been nursing a cold since Monday evening. Anyway did this pushup workout tonight just to say I did something.

2 sets of 30 - Fast pace 3 quarter push-ups (for explosive strength)

2 sets of 10 - Slow pace (down slowly, hold for 5 seconds with nose on floor, then back up slowly - works the smaller twitching and stabilising muscles)

2 sets of 10 - Normal pace full push-ups

Cellcom 1/2 Marathon

Fun race. I started out close to the pace I wanted but the humidity got to me. The official race stats have me a bit slower but the race chip doesn't account for the much needed pit stop I needed to make. 
Next year I'll train on more hills and hope the event has cold and ridiculous weather for continuity's sake.

Morning Basketball

Really glad that I got up this morning to play. It turned out there were just six of us so three on three was a nice break. I started out being able to hit a couple shots, then went into a bit of a drought and ended strong. Good times.

5K on a Wednesday.

Keeping the legs loose for the race on Sunday. I'd like to get a sub 20 minute 5K in August. I think I can get there, but 30 seconds is a big jump for that distance. Here's the link to the run.

10K morning run.

It was raining just a little bit this morning so it was perfect running weather. I've been chasing a sub 45 minute 10K for nearly 2 years and today I came SO close. At least now I know what mile pace I need to beat.  RUN LINK

11 Miles.

The last 2 miles were pretty brutal. It was tough to stay motivated to move. My goal for the 1/2 marathon in 2 weeks is 7:40/mi pace and today I was right on it.

Treadmill Running - 1 hour

So tough for me. I feel like I barely made it an hour. 8 minute miles basically. Not happy about it really at all. Makes me want to get out...
