Ultimate
Baptism service at the river where we had food and then ultimate out in the field. 11 on 11 including some kids two of which were mine. :)

Took a round walking.

Warmed up with 1/2 mile with for 1/4 on speed 7 and second 1/4 mile on 8.5.
Then got into the circuit. Here it is.
1/4 mile Incline 1.0 Speed 10.0
Take 4 minutes to do:
25 push-ups
10 curls with 30 lb dumbbells
20 squats with 30 lb dumbbell
15 leg lifts
REPEAT 6xs.
Try not to cry or die.

Morning Basketball
First time I've gone in about 2.5 weeks. It felt awful getting up at 5:25 but I'm glad I did. I had a pretty great morning considering. Body control was there so I was effective around the rim and my shot hasn't left me completely.

Back biceps and legs
Alternated between back, biceps stuff and leg work. Took an intentional tempo to the workout until the end when I alternated
25 push ups
10 curls with 35 lb dumbbells,
leg press with 270 loaded on it 15 reps and then
ab roll-outs
Repeated that sequence 4 times.

Chest and Triceps
Started out with bench press full pyramid starting at 135 and peaking at 165 then back down.
Then interlaced core/ab exercises inside of shoulder and tricep exercises.
Ended the hour with cable work at different angles for the chest.

Ultimate Frisbee
So we had 4 on 4 today for ultimate. 2 of those 8 were my kids. River and Rainn had their first outing and it was really fun. I had a great time watching them in action. I think they were decently prepared for the game. I was a proud dad for sure.
Personally, my knee is giving me some trouble so I'm pretty frustrated about that but I'll make it through. This long season of ultimate is proving to be taxing on my 42 yr old legs but I don't care one bit.

Ultimate Frisbee
We had 10 on 10 again today. It was a great time. Great folks out there running and sweating in the heat. A few of us brought extra water. Good choice.
My leg is still not perfect from that injury but I could move enough to make it happen. Not sure if I should go to basketball or not this week. I didn't last week.

Week Summary
Monday - Rec Center Chest workout. That was good stuff.
Tuesday - I think I ran a couple rounds of Disc golf? I can't remember when that was now.
Friday - Basement workout with Frisbee Sprints afterward. I did 25 minutes of chasing the disc and then on minute 26 my leg wigged out on my again. Super Frustrating.

Morning Basketball - SORT OF
I't's been a while since I journaled, but the workouts have continued even though yesterday I wasn't really feeling it at all so my back and bicep day was a bust.
So Tuesday morning at basketball I pulled something. Maybe it's a hamstring, I'm not sure. Either way I kept going just because it wasn't that bad. Later that afternoon I tried to sprint after the frisbee and that didn't go well AT ALL. I iced it and went on.
So this morning I debated as to whether or not to go play and I knew I shouldn't have gone. About 40 minutes in I popped it again. I immediately got off the court and brought a cold pack to work. Not happy about it seeing as how Sunday afternoon Ultimate will be here soon. The weather looks stormy so maybe I won't miss anything but still... I hate missing cardio opportunities.
